Combustion Turbine Electric Generating Projects

Combustion Turbine Electric Generating Projects

Combustion turbine generating units are typically used for intermediate load power applications. Simple cycle units match an industrial or aero-derivative combustion turbine to a high speed electric generator. Combined cycle units add a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) and auxiliary steam turbine for improved fuel efficiency. Combined heat and power (CHP) applications offer the highest efficiency since the turbine produces both electrical power and process heat.
