Harebell Bridge Replacement (Construction Management)

Pagosa Springs, Colo.

SEH construction management personnel were responsible for this local agency project and the removal of an existing 110 ft. steel girder bridge; the construction of a new 150 ft. two span prestressed concrete box (54 in. x 24 in.) girder replacement structure with concrete abutments and wing walls, concrete caissons, structure excavation and backfill; embankment material; approach roadway; aggregate base course; guardrail, riprap; topsoil; seeding and mulching; and other miscellaneous work. The project is located over the San Juan River, an environmental sensitive stream corridor including raptor nesting sites and sensitive trout fishing stream. The project received an outstanding audit report from FHWA for adhering to State and Federal construction requirements.
